Pentland Energy Advice

Our Energy Project “Money Matters” is funded by the National Lottery and carries out home visits to tenants of housing association properties (Pentland, Albyn, Cairn and Lochaber) with the aim of reducing energy consumption.

The visits are free covering various aspects including:

How to operate your heating system
Understanding energy bills and contacting suppliers
Setting of energy programmers
Checking the correct tariff for your heating system
Explaining how to take meter readings
Mould and condensation issues

The majority of tenants who have received advice and assistance report a reduction in energy costs. The advice is delivered by Pentland Energy Advisors Charlotte Mackay (Caithness based) and Andrew Maclaren (Inverness based) who can be contacted via a request to your Housing Officer. The advisor will thereafter attend your home by appointment.
